‘Ghost’ comes to Windermere Fine Art
Windermere Fine Art Gallery host their first Halloween event in partnership with artists ‘Ghost’ Last month, local art business Windermere Fine Art Gallery held their latest Halloween special event, unveiling the latest collection by artists Ghost.
The collaborative project by artists Sam and Jake, originally from Wales, combines digital design and street art, reimagining famous artwork pieces with a modern twist.
In their partnership with the gallery, the latest collection revealed four new art pieces including ‘There Can Only Be One King’, ‘Call Me’, ‘Love is a Drug’, as well as ‘The Lake District’; inspired by recent concerns for Lake Windermere’s conditions in regards to pollution and sewage.

Gallery owners Matthew and Dawn Titherington were thrilled to see the Lake’s feature in the new collection, Dawn adding, “The Lake District piece will definitely have a great impact on those local to Windermere. For years, there have been concerns for the future of the lake’s condition.
“This piece highlights exactly what we are facing, abandonment and uncertainty on what’s going to happen to Lake Windermere. Ghost have taken this problem and really highlighted it in such a unique way, it’s sure to create conversation.”

Ghost are described as unapologetic, original and unforgettable; shifting audience perspective by altering the images we once recognise, to introduce new meanings, hidden symbols and finished with bespoke spray paint.
